As surgeons and clinicians, we are only as good as the science that guides our hands. Research is not separate from medicine; it is its foundation. I established this centre with the belief that the habit of inquiry must be cultivated early, and there is no better time to begin than now.

I encourage each of you to ask questions that matter, pursue answers with rigour, and never lose sight of the patient at the centre of every study.
